Elements (2019)

Oil paint and mixed media on plastered wooden panel. Varnished with traditional beeswax.

Framed in distressed angle iron.

Work inspired by painting in and absorbing the atmosphere of an empty house. Part 1 of the triptych 'Passages', an attempt to convey pre-birth, the primary stage of the life process when we are a living part of the elements surrounding us; swimmers in the 'secret sea', floating between 2 worlds.

Medium Oil paint and mixed media on plastered wooden panel, beexwax varnish, angle iron frame
